Is Digerati Studio the best web design company in Bath? Who knows? But this page will hopefully demonstrate an interesting concept with search engines. And the best web site design company needs to also know about how to get those great designs noticed.

The thing is that search engines are not people like you and me, although let’s be honest I wish I knew as much as Google! So a search engine cannot tell whether a design is good or not, and there are a lot of objective and subjective elements that dictate what makes the best web design in Bath, Bristol, the UK or even the world.

What actually happens is that search engines read the content (text) of the page to see what it is talking about - in this case: the debate about the best web design. They also like big titles like this one:

The Internet is a constantly changing place with more and more ecommerce websites, online shops, company websites showing off what they can do and all of these require great web design (the best is often more elusive). How many times have you searched for ‘best website designs’ or ‘best web design’ or even ‘best web design company’? I know we have typed it in a fair few times. It always seems to show up bizarre web sites where the design is not always the world’s best. But again, the search engine cannot distinguish whether web page design is the best or if it doesn’t quite meet the mark.

I have rattled on enough about this. Let’s wait and see if my little experiment works, and I’ll post an update on it in due course.
